Sample Preparation
• Label Width
•12 mm; width for the sample tube in the Sample Rack
• Quiet Zone
•2.5 mm (both right and left side)
• Symbol Zone
•7 mm x 7 mm
4. During the DMS sample setup, the operator will be instructed to place the rack into the AP3600 instrument.
The barcode labels must face the left side of the rack.
Pette Preparation
1. Confirm the Pette(s) have not passed their expiration date. Discard expired consumables and reorder new supplies as needed. Refer
to Appendix B, "Specifications and Ordering Information".
2. Remove Pette(s) from plastic bag. Reseal plastic bag and return unused Pette(s) to the refrigerator for storage.
3. Insert a Pette tip onto the end of each Pette.
Note:
The Pettes and Pette tips are disposable items. Do not reuse the Pette tip or Pette after it has been placed into the instrument.
4. Insert the Pettes into the Pette carousel. The barcode label must face the center of the Pette carousel so the barcode can be read by
the instrument. See Figure 3-2.

Reagent Preparation
WARNING: Do not use consumables after their expiration date.
Color Coding of Reagent Bottle Caps and the actual fill volumes in the bottles
• Photoreagent I = Green; 37 ml
• Photoreagent II = White; 37 ml
• Antibody = Blue; 55 ml
• Wash Buffer Concentrate = Clear; 50 ml
