18. If removed, do one of the following:
• Install the processor mezzanine tray (

19. Install the air baffle (Installing the air baffle).
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the connectors, always install the air baffle into the server before installing the
riser cages.
20. Install the primary PCIe riser cage (Installing the primary PCIe riser cage).
21. Install the butterfly PCIe riser cage (Installing a butterfly PCIe riser cage).
22. Install the access panel (Installing the access panel).
23. Install the server into the rack (Installing the server into the rack).
24. Connect each power cord to the server.
25. Connect each power cord to the power source.
Installing an eight-bay NVMe SSD drive cage
The eight-bay NVMe SSD drive cage can be installed in drive boxes 1–3.
• A minimum of four NVMe drives can be installed in the drive cage.
• When installed in drive box 1, only four NVMe drives can be installed in the drive cage.
