After the OS installation completes, the system automatically copies the operating system to the second, mirrored
drive on the boot device.
18. Proceed with normal system setup and operation.
Installing the Pensando DSP DSC-25 2p SFP28 card
The DSC-25 card can be installed in any available PCIe expansion slot in the server.
Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have the following items available:
• The components included with the hardware option kit
• T-10 Torx screwdriver
Procedure

Observe the following alerts:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the internal system
components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION: A discharge of static electricity from a finger or other conductor might damage system boards or
other static-sensitive devices. To prevent damage, observe antistatic precautions.
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all PCI slots
have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
