General network settings
Press the
DEFINE NET
soft key to enter the general network
settings. The
Computer name
tab is active:
Setting
Meaning
Primary
interface
Name of the Ethernet interface to be
integrated in your company network.
Only active if a second, optional Ethernet
interface is available on the control hardware
Computer
name
Name displayed for the TNC in your
company network
Host file
Only required for special applications
:
Name of a file in which the assignments of
IP addresses to computer names is defined
Select the
Interfaces
tab to enter the interface settings:

Interface list
List of the active Ethernet interfaces. Select
one of the listed interfaces (via mouse or
arrow keys)
Activate
button: Activate the selected
interface (an
X
appears in the
Active
column)
Deactivate
button: Deactivate the
selected interface (
-
in the
Active
column)
Configuration
button: Open the
configuration menu
Allow IP
forwarding
This function must be kept deactivated
.
Only activate this function if external access
via the second, optional Ethernet interface
of the TNC is necessary for diagnostic
purposes. Only do so after instruction by our
Service Department
