6 Using the heating system – Switching off the heating system for maintenance or repair work

5. Fill the fuel chamber with dry, split wood, making sure it is
compact and evenly distributed and taking into the heat intake
capacity.
6. Close the filling hatch and the interior hatch.
7. Start the chimney test on the HDG Lambda Control 1.
See section “6.3 Structure of the menus”, paragraph ““Heat
production on” menu structure”.
The chimney inspection is completed.
6.8 Switching off the heating system for
maintenance or repair work
1. Allow the fire in the heating system to burn out.
The boiler has burned out and the message “
Heat production
off
” appears in the display.
2. Now switch off the emergency heating switch (if installed) or the
corresponding breaker of the mains electricity supply.
The heating system is now switched off.
When starting the measurement, the boiler temperature should be
at least 60° C and not over 80°C. The temperature of the
accumulator should not be higher than 60 °C.
Having the measurement repeated by the combustion engineer or
by HDG specialists will incur charges.
The heating system must be fitted with a chimney draught
regulator to ensure that the prescribed conveying pressure of 15 Pa
is not exceeded.
Caution!
If the electricity supply for the boiler is disconnected, the protection
program cannot be activated.
Do not leave the heating system de-energised any longer than
necessary.
