5.4.1 Thermocouples
You can obtain pre-wired thermo leads with different
thermocouple fittings from HBM.
Alternatively, you have the option to pre-wire the mea­
surement probe yourself. Omega Engineering GmbH
with their TL-WELD is one company offering relevant
devices for welding thermo wires.
When assembling the measuring circuit, only install the
thermocouple on surfaces whose properties are within
the permissible values and conditions listed in the specifi­
cations.
5.4.2 Voltage measurement, voltage probe
The MX809B can also measure low voltages up to ±5 V,
as an alternative to temperatures. Because of its sturdy
channel isolation, the measurement module is suitable
for acquiring cell voltages at a high potential to reference
ground.
The end of the measuring lead facing the measuring
point is called the voltage probe: the probe is used to
pick up an electric voltage via two terminals. The user
must pre-wire the end of the lead accordingly.
