Diamond Series™
•
RF Drive Cable - The RF output from the Control Cabinet comes from RF Output
Directional Coupler DC1 in a single PA Cabinet system. This RF output will connect
to the RF Input Directional Coupler in the PA Cabinet. In a multiple PA Cabinet sys-
tem, the Control Cabinet RF output comes from the Output RF Splitter and again
connects to each RF Input Directional Coupler. Each RF cable will be labeled with a
different number and connects to a specific cabinet. Route the RF drive cable into the
tray, through the grommet into the rear of the PA Cabinet.
2.7
Control Cabinet Connections
Refer to the "Control Cabinet Wiring Diagram" in Section 200 of the Schematic
Package. For system wiring diagrams refer to the RF Flow and the AC Power Flow
diagrams in Section 700 of the schematic package.
!
WARNING:
DISABLE AND LOCK OUT STATION PRIMARY POWER BEFORE PRIMARY POWER
CABLES ARE CONNECTED TO THE EQUIPMENT.
•
Single phase AC input - Single phase AC connects to TB1 in the lower rear of the
Control Cabinet. There are provisions for dual AC feeds into the cabinet. For redun-
dant AC inputs, remove the wire jumpers on the terminal block. One feed connects to
TB1-1 and TB1-2. The second single phase input connects to TB1-4 and TB1-5.
(TB1-3 and TB1-6 are Ground).
NOTE:
The single phase lines (hot and neutral) must be connected correctly or the UPS
will show a line fault (red LED) on the back of the unit, once ac power is applied.
•
Check the Back of the UPS and make sure the GUI ac power cord is connected into
one of the UPS backed outlets and not the one labeled "surge protection only".
Refer to the System Wiring Diagram in Section 700 of the Schematic Package for the
following:
•
Forward and Reflected Power Samples - The total forward and reflected power sam-
ples (after all filter/combiners) will come from a precision directional coupler and
connect to the Customer I/O Panel at J3 (forward) and J4 (reflected).
•
Adaptive pre-correction (HPF RTAC) RF sample cable, connects to J10 on the Cus-
tomer I/O panel. The sample should come from the output of the system after all fil-
ters and combiners and is required for both the CD-1A and APEX exciters.
