5.10.2 Life Support Board Hot-Swap
Go to the Transmitter Control screen and set the following:
a.
Set Drive Control to MANUAL and EXCITER A.
b.
Select REMOTE CONTROL - DISABLED.

OR IC’S TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS.

Remove the Life Support Board connectors in the following order. See Figure 5-
13 for connector locations.
J3, J4, J2, J5, J6, J7, J1, J9, J8
d.
The GUI will now have ON/OFF capability only.
e.
Install the replacement LIFE SUPPORT board and reconnect the cables in reverse
order. Set all dipswitches and jumpers to the same position as the old board.
f.
Adjust R123 for 1.85Vdc at TP32 on the Life Support Board. This sets the
VSWR Foldback point when in Life Support Mode.
g.
The last step to finish replacement of the Life Support Board requires setting the
AC OK and AC Fail thresholds per the following procedures.
