Common Modulation Parameters

11.4.9

Pilot Mode

The Pilot Mode parameter sets the pilot mode of operation. In order to expedite carrier recovery, 
the standard allows two operating modes for each modulation type: Pilot-less (i.e. no Pilot 
symbols are inserted) and Piloted, where Pilot symbols are inserted to aid carrier synchronization.

NOTE:  

This parameter is only relevant for units operating under DVB-S2 modulation scheme.

This parameter is not available in the UE-9216 module.
