ZONES
Th
e EXTERNAL ZONES allow you to use the SWELL and
GREAT manuals and the Pedals to control external MIDI equip-
ment independently of the Drawbars.
Th
e INTERNAL ZONES (or Keyboard Channels) are for sound-
ing Drawbar Voices. Th
ey can layer or split with EXTERNAL
ZONES.
To locate this mode:
1. From either of the PLAY screens, touch the [MENU/EXIT] but-
ton. Menu A will display.
2. Touch the [PAGE
] button three times. Menu D will display.
3. Touch the [1] ZONES button.

e current ZONE you are editing is displayed in the top left
corner of the Zone mode.

INTERNAL ZONES
ZONE - OCTAVE
Th
is sets the octave the Drawbar sound engine produces.
Setting Range: -2 to +2.
ZONE - LO
ZONE - HI
Th
ese set the playing range of the Drawbars on each of the
SWELL and GREAT manuals and Pedals.
NOTE: You can also set the value by touching and holding the
[JUMP/STORE] button, while holding down the desired note
on the manual (or pedalboard).
EXTERNAL ZONES
MIDI CHANNEL
Th
is is for selecting on which MIDI Channel the External
Zone will transmit.
Th
e range is 1 - 16, and OFF.
NOTE - OCTAVE
Th
is is for selecting the octave to be transmitted by this zone.
Th
e octave that is transmitted may be set to be diff erent than
the octave that you may be playing.
ZONE - LO
ZONE - HI
Th
ese set the playing range of the selected External Zone on
each of the SWELL and GREAT manuals and Pedals.
Set the lowest note at LO and the highest one at HI. To pre-
vent note data from being transmitted, set the HI parameter
to “OFF”.
NOTE: For 6 and 7, you can set the value by touching the [JUMP/
STORE] button, while holding down the desired note on the
manual (or pedalboard).

PROGRAM - BANK LSB
PROGRAM - PROGRAM CHANGE
Th
ese are for setting the Bank Select and the Program Change
data to be transmitted by this zone.
NOTE: These numbers are frequently diff erent from one instrument
to another, and there may be some which are unique to one
particular MIDI instrument. Please consult the User Manual
for each MIDI instrument you wish to use, as there will usually
be a chart listing the Program Number assignments for each
voice or patch.
You can choose 0 - 127 in the Bank MSB and the Bank LSB,
and 1 - 128 in the Program Change.
NOTE -
VOLUME
Th
is is for setting the volume (= Control Change #7) of this
zone.
NOTE: If the CC# (item #16) is set at “7.VOL,” this value will be over-
ridden.
NOTE - PAN
Th
is is for setting the Pan (= Control Change #10) of this zone.
NOTE -
VELOCITY
Th
is is for setting the Velocity Curve to send to this zone.
Th
e setting range is OFF, 1 - 4. Th
e velocity of OFF is fi xed at
100. At 1 - 4, the higher the value increases, the higher velocity
is transmitted regardless how the key is played.
