What is “MIDI” ?
MIDI is an abbreviation of

usical
I
nstrument
D
igital
I
nterface.
MIDI is the musical instrument industry standard for exchanging performance infor-
mation between electronic musical instruments and a sequencer, eff ects, lighting and
sound reinforcement gear, etc.
Th
e MIDI standard allows instruments made by diff erent manufacturers to eff ectively
communicate with each other.
Many types of data can be transmitted and received, including all performance infor-
mation, settings of parameters, and global commands.
MIDI terminals on this Organ
Sends Performance Information.
Th
is is used for playing an external MIDI sound module from this organ, or for re-
cording the performance on this organ to an external sequencer.
Th
is jack is for playing the keyboard channels (SWELL, GREAT, PEDAL) from ex-
ternal MIDI equipment.
What the MIDI can do on your Organ
On this organ, the MIDI terminals are intended to do the following:
control an external sound generator such as synthesizer or sampler.
record or playback your performance to an external computer or sequencer.
