4. Lock the clamping device by turning it in the bayo-
net to the marking »CLOSED«.
5. Tighten the cylindrical screws [D] only finger-tight.

6. Check the concentricity at the clamping cone of the
segmented mandrel [optimum ≤ 0.005 mm].
NOTE!
If the concentricity does not match the required
values, use a different position of the clamping
device in the bayonet. You have 6 options for
doing so.
Select the position in which you get the best
values.
Option:
Mandrel – screwed
from the front side
At a mandrel that is screwed from the front, the con-
centricity can improved.
Follow these steps:

7. Loosen the cylindrical screws [E] in the mandrels
body only a little.
8. Check the concentricity at the clamping cone of the
segmented mandrel [optimum ≤ 0.005 mm], cor-
rect if necessary carefully with a plastic hammer.
Possibly a displacement of the mandrels body
to the flange can improve the run-out.
