Detailed consideration
The first condition, namely that the workpiece length
may equal up to six times the clamping diameter, is
satisfied.
The second condition, namely that the workpiece
mass must not exceed 40 kg, at chuck size 65 is sat-
isfied.
The third condition, that the workpiece must be
clamped at least 0.08*dsp=0.08*60 mm=4.8 mm, is
more than satisfied with clamping length 20 mm –
3 mm extension length = 17 mm.
To verify the fourth condition, first it is necessary, in
accordance with principle 1, to determine the required
radial clamping force.
