Check whether the control indicates limited operational readiness.
Test ascent. Test descent. The service lift must not descend.

Service lift is still descending: The fall arrester must be sent in
for a general overhaul or be replaced. Lock service lift!

Before opening the fall arrester, carry out the load test of the closed
fall arrester.

Mounting

If not yet done: Close the fall arrester by turning the locking lever
counterclockwise.
2.

Insert the emergency manual descent lever (1) into the hoist at the
opening provided. Push the lever fully upwards to release the service
brake. The entire load must now be held by the fall arrester. The
service lift must not sag.

Service lift sags when the fall arrester is closed: The fall
arrester must be sent in for a general overhaul or be
replaced. Lock service lift!

Release the emergency manual descent lever. The service brake
closes again. Fix the lever again in its holder (2).

Turn the release lever clockwise until the fall arrester audibly opens
again. Check whether the control indicates that it is ready for
operation.
Triggering of the fall arrester
due to overspeed
1.

Return the service lift to the starting platform. Relieve the load on the
safety rope under the fall arrester.
2.
►
Pull the safety rope jerkily upwards with the fall arrester. The fall
arrester should now engage audibly and hold the rope.

The fall arrester does not trigger: The fall arrester must be
sent in for a general overhaul or be replaced. Lock service lift!
3.

Turn the release lever clockwise until the fall arrester audibly opens
again. Check whether the control indicates that it is ready for
operation.
Reload the safety rope.
Triggering of the fall arrester
by overspeed with rope pull
rod (optional)
The tension test on the rope can be carried out by means of an optionally
available rope pull rod:

Hook the safety rope between the rubber profile and the pulley.
