Emergency exit between two platforms
Emergency exit
An emergency exit between platforms may be necessary for an evacuation or
rescue.
Evacuation
Person(s) leave the cabin between two platforms without assistance. An
evacuation only takes place if the service lift is no longer operational and the
manual descent function does not work either.
Rescue
A person who is incapable of acting (unconscious) is rescued by a second person
from the cabin (which may no longer be operational) between the platforms.
Emergency exit and rescue
plan
The following examples describe possible emergency exits from the service lift. In
emergencies, the rescue plan drawn up by the operating company must be
followed.
Notes on the rescue hoist
NOTICE
Evacuation or rescue is carried out with a rescue hoist in accordance with DIN
EN 1496. A rescue hoist must be carried in the service lift. Another one is
located in the wind turbine.
Make sure that the rescue hoist has a long enough rope.
NOTICE
This is a simplified description. The evacuation and rescue procedure may vary
depending on the rescue hoist used.
Observe the manufacturer’s instructions for the rescue hoist!
