3.5.3 Quality/
FPS
Use the “QUALITY/FPS” to select the recording quality and frame rate. In normal
circumstances, set the quality configuration as “BEST”. The following table shows the
FPS and picture size under “BEST” in D1 mode for AR-6160 as an example.

d Setup
Use this function to set the Day/Night/Weekend FPS (Frame per Second) and Quality
separately for each channel. Set the QUALITY/FPS selection to “ADVANCED SETUP”
to set these schedules. The menu displays as shown below (Record Mode:
720X480@120FPS in NTSC/720X576@100FPS in PAL).

The total normal FPS for all channels cannot exceed 120 NTSC/100 PAL. Reduce the
other channels first to increase one channel’s FPS. Event FPS is not restricted to this
rule since a smart event scheduler handles the total FPS with a correct weight.
