Appendix D – Export of Linear and Area
Defects
Linear and area defect export is found in the Export Settings screen shown below. Click the
accompanying checkbox to enable defect export.
When the “Export Defects” option checked, all defects are exported to CSV and KML files. The criteria
defining the defects are accessible by pressing the
Export Defect Settings
button and are shown below.
The first four rows consist of threshold values where data values below or above the threshold are
classified as defects. Contiguous defects that meet the specified minimum length and/or area size are
exported. The length of each data measurement is the spacing between exported values. The area of each
data measurement is the spacing between exported values multiplied by 2.0 ft (0.6 m).
