Chapter 5: Installing the Power Supply
Installing the Plenum Sensor
1. Drill a 2-1/2" hole, with supplied hole saw, approximately in the middle between the bin’s foundation
and the plenum floor’s horizontal bolt line. Note that the location of the hole should be on the peak of
the corrugation (not in the valley).
2. Before inserting the Plenum Sensor assembly into the hole, apply loctite glue (39) to the four
Plenum Sensor bolts, between the foam core of the sensor and the flat metal plate farthest from the
plenum cable.

3. Insert the Plenum Sensor (41) into the 2-1/2" hole. Push the foam core of the Plenum Sensor into
the hole, sealing all edges of the hole.
4. Using two self-tapping screws (1), fasten the Plenum Sensor mounting plate to the bin wall. Then
tighten the socket head cap screws (42) until the foam core has expanded and is firmly set into the
hole. Do not overtighten the screws (42) for risk of damaging the foam core.
5. Install the cable clamp (43) to the end of the outer mounting plate and insert the plenum cable (44)
through the clamp.
6. Connect the other end of the cable (44) into the Plenum and Outdoor Sensor Switch Enclosure (37).
