... Add Function Window, cont'd.
Pacing:
Click the Delay On checkbox to increase the delay between keys
in a button press or release string.
Some games may be unable to handle incoming keys fast enough, so they
may miss keys. If Firebird 2 appears to sporadically miss some or all keys
defined for a button, your game may have this problem. Check Delay On,
and in-crease the delay using the Pacing slider in the Edit/Preferences
dialog. (The Pacing slider controls the pacing for every button that has the
Delay On checkbox checked.)
Comment:
Click in the Comment box to enter a one-line description of the
button’s settings. This description appears, by default, in the control listing

more useful to have a control listing or template labeled with the game
function (e.g., “Button 2: Jump”) rather than the key (e.g., “J”).
To Define a Keystroke Command:
1. Click on the gray edit bar while the “<End of keystroke string>“ line is
selected to begin entering a key or string of keys in the Button Press
box.
2. Enter a key or series of keys.
3. Click on the “<End of keystroke string>“ line or the gray edit bar to end
