3901 Bandwidth Usage Information
You must ensure that your configuration never allows the card’s input or output bandwidth
to be oversubscribed.
When the XIP
-
3901’s maximum input or output bandwidth is oversubscribed (total streams
require more than the available bandwidth of the SFP cartridge or network capacity), the
symptoms are that of packet loss: missing blocks of video, audio dropout, and random loss
of ancillary data on both processing channels. For compressed streams, symptoms can
include total loss of the video streams on both processing channels.
The card is not locked to the network’s PTP. For more details on the problem(s), See
Network Status (ETH1/ETH2/ETH3/FRM)
