Encore — Configuration Manual

Encore Software Applications

Router Control Application

This application receives switching requests from the Panel Server applica-
tion and sends them to the Matrices for execution. Through the Encore User
Interface, the user establishes crosspoint functionality, such as Levels,
Sources, Destinations and protocol drivers.

Tie-Line Manager Application

This application controls the tie-lines in the system. Tie-lines provide trans-
parent routing of signals between local matrix Levels and remote matrices.
Through the Encore User Interface, the user creates and manages tie-lines.

System Manager Application

The system administrator uses this application to set the permissions and
system access for all users. It is also used to configure the hardware sup-
porting the Encore Control System software.
