4.5 Recharging the battery
The battery pack needs to be recharged before first use, before storage, and when the Low Battery
Signal is given (see 4.3). To recharge the battery, turn the switch to 0, remove any inner liners and water
from the kettle, open the battery compartment in the bottom part of the kettle, remove the battery and
connect to the plug of the charger (FC-C01), then connect the main plug of the charger to the wall socket.
During the charging procedure the LED on the battery pack will be RED continuously. When the battery
pack is fully charged, the LED on the battery will be GREEN continuously. Disconnect the battery pack
from the charger and remove the mains plug of the charger from the socket.
Fully recharging an empty battery pack may take up to

hours, recharging an empty battery up to 80%
may take up to

hours.
4.6 Cleaning and storage
The surface of the product may be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild non-abrasive cleaning materials.
Remove any paint spillage with a cloth while still wet. Never open the housing for cleaning, warranty will
be lost!
WARNING!
Remove battery pack before cleaning. Prevent any fluids entering the housing of the kettle,
battery pack and charger. Keep the contacts of the kettle, the battery pack and the charger clean and dry.
Empty and dry the reservoir before storage. Keep the reservoir clean and remove any calcium deposits
with a soft cloth.
5. Environment
Do not dispose of the device in household waste! Recycle devices, accessories and packaging. Observe
applicable national regulations.
EU only:
In accordance with European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment and
implementation in national law, used electrical tools must be collected separately and handed in for
environmentally friendly recycling.
Return used or faulty battery packs
to your local specialist retailer, or nearest local civic waste
management facility (observe applicable regulations). Batteries must be discharged on return. Battery
packs will then be recycled.
EU only:
In accordance with the European Directive on batteries and implementation in national law,
defective or used battery packs/batteries must be collected separately and handed in for environmentally
friendly recycling
6. Failure, service and warranty
In case of any technical failure,
NEVER
open the housing of the kettle, battery pack or charger.
Instead contact your local vendor for assistance.

7. Transport
The lithium-ion batteries are subject to the requirements of the legislation on hazardous goods. A Li –ion
battery pack alone falls below the applicable limit value and certified as per UN manual ST/SG/AC.10/11/
rev. 3 part III, subsection 38.3. However, dangerous goods regulations may apply when several battery
packs are transported. For shipping by third parties (e.g. air transport or freight forwarding company)
special requirements with regard to packaging and labelling must be observed. For the preparation of
the package an expert on hazardous goods must be consulted. Please observe any further national
regulations. Only return the battery pack if the housing is undamaged. Tape over the exposed contacts
and wrap the battery pack so that it cannot move inside the packaging.
