WARNING!
Always read and follow the instructions of the paint manufacturer for the use and application
of the paint! E.g. maximum paint temperature, minimum temperature of substrate and air, humidity. Using
other temperature settings or painting in other conditions than specified by the paint manufacturer may
cause the paint or coating to fail.
DISCLAIMER
Go!Paint cannot be held responsible for improper application of paint. Instructions of
paint manufacturers must always be followed. In case of doubt always check with the paint manufacturer
if the paint can be used in the actual circumstances and at the temperature range of choice. The user is
liable for improper or non-intended use.
4.3 Understanding the user interface
The LED in the user interface indicates the heater activity,
the temperature status and the battery level.
LED = green
→
temperature is OK and kept steady
LED = red
→
temperature is too low
→
extra heat is added
AUDIO signal 10x, then LED dies
→
Low Battery Signal:
Battery pack needs to be recharged (see 4.6). The product
shuts off automatically to protect the battery. The paint
temperature remains stable for a while, then drops slowly. Take out the battery and recharge.
Other AUDIO signals:
Placing the battery: 3x beep
Switching off: 3x beep. Remove the battery, charge fully and store disconnected from the kettle.
Switching off without removing the battery: 3 beeps every 10 minutes to remind you to remove the
battery from the kettle.
4.4 Operation time and heating up time
The battery pack and kettle are designed to provide enough power to keep +/- 0,5 L of paint
at a constant temperature for 6-8 hours, dependent upon the initial paint temperature,
the selected temperature, the ambient temperature and prevailing atmospheric conditions
during use.
Tests show that a volume of 0,5 L of alkyd based paint at a low temperature of 8
°
C can be
raised to a temperature of 18
°
C in less than 5 minutes when using warm (not boiling) water
and whilst stirring the paint regularly.
Please be aware that low outdoor temperature, wind, the volume of paint and the frequency
of changing paint contents or replenishing will negatively impact upon the time taken to
heat up and operation time. Rechargeable battery packs in general show a decrease of
performance over a longer period of time. This ageing process will also negatively impact the
operation time.
To
save power and extend the operation time
we recommend:
- Always remove the battery from the kettle directly after use, than charge and store separately.
- Keep paint stored in a tightly closed container at room temperature.
- Start up with warm water (<70
°
C) in the kettle.
- Select lower temperature ranges, i.e. 15-18
°
C.
- Cover the paint liner with the lid, to protect from the cold and prevent evaporation, when taking a break.
- Do not put more than 0,5-0,75 litre of paint in the inliner and to shield the kettle from wind.
