You cannot connect to the
Internet.

Check whether the
Connect on demand
option is
deactivated. If it is, connections cannot be opened
automatically.

Select
Connect on demand
. Remember that this
setting may lead to higher costs if you are billed on
the time used.

The connection may have been terminated manu-
ally with the
Connect on demand
option selected.
– Restore the connection again manually using the
Connect
button or
– Restart the Gigaset SE555 WLAN dsl.
In both cases, the
Connect on demand
setting will
be active again.

Check whether the NAT function is activated. Inter-
net access is not possible if the NAT function is
deactivated.
You cannot open a connec-
tion from a wireless device
to the Gigaset SE555 WLAN
dsl.

The wireless network adapter is not using the cor-
rect SSID.
ì
Change the SSID on the network adapter.

Either WEP encryption has been activated on the
Gigaset SE555 WLAN dsl but not on the wireless
network adapter or it is using the wrong WEP key.
ì
Activate WEP encryption on the network adapter
with the correct key.
If you do not know the key, you will have to reset
the Gigaset SE555 WLAN dsl (see page 18).

: Please bear in mind that this will return
all
the configuration settings to the factory
settings.

WPA protection is activated on the Gigaset SE555
WLAN dsl but not on the wireless network adapter
of the appropriate PC.

Install and configure WPA protection on the PC.
ì
If the Gigaset SE555 WLAN dsl is configured in
Super G mode and the network adapter does not
support this function, no connection is possible.
In this case, disable Super G mode of the router.
