HOW TO RENEW THE CANISTER OF
THE LUBRICATING OIL FILTER
Sostituire la cartuccia del filtro dell’olio ogni
500 ore di servizio.
Replace the oil filter cartridge every 500
hours of operation.
Operazioni:

Togliere la cartuccia del filtro con una
chiave per filtri o un attrezzo simile.
Verificare che l’adattatore (fig.2) sia rimasto
fissato nella testa del filtro. Gettare la
cartuccia.
•
Remove the filter canister with a strap
wrench or similar tool. Ensure that the
adaptor (fig.2) is secure in the filter head.
Then discard the canister.
•
Pulire la testa del filtro.
•
Clean the filter head.
•
Riempire di olio lubrificante per motore
(pulito) la nuova cartuccia. Lasciare all’olio
il tempo sufficiente per passare attraverso la
cartuccia stessa.
•
Add clean engine lubricating oil to the new
canister. Allow the oil enough time to pass
through the filter element.
•
Lubrificare la guarnizione anulare superiore
della cartuccia con olio motore pulito.
•
Lubricate the top of the canister seal with
clean engine lubricating oil.
•
Avvitare la nuova cartuccia e serrarla
soltanto a mano. Non usare nessuna chiave.
•
Fit the new canister and tighten it by hand
only. Do not use a strap wrench.
•
Avviare il motore e controllare che non ci
siano perdite dal filtro. A motore freddo,
ricontrollare il livello dell’olio e
aggiungerne, se necessario.
•
Operate the engine and check for leakage
from the filter. When the engine has
cooled, check the oil level on the dipstck
and put more oil into the sump, if
necessary.
