Interface Port Descriptions
Internal Modem/Line Port

The internal modem port interface is the upper RJ48C connector located on the shelf rear panel at
the SC-ADT slot (J17-J32). The table below describes the port pinouts.

At the SC-ADT 16-port device, one Ethernet interface connector is provided at the lower RJ48C
connector located on the shelf rear panel (J33-J48). For the SC-ADT 32-port device, one ethernet
connector is located at the base card rear panel (J33-J48), with two additional Ethernet connectors
located at the Expansion card rear panel (J17-J23 and J33-J48).
These Ethernet ports provides 10/100BASE-T Ethernet connectivity and require RJ45-to-RJ45
straight-thru or crossover cables (GDC S-078H010-XXX or S-078H011-XXX). The table below
describes Ethernet port pinouts. Note that the Ethernet port can be used as a logical uplink port to
SpectraComm Ethernet Switches, SpectraComm IP cards or other hub/bridge devices. .
