3.5 Dynamic tests
With empty platform/car
• Drop test each time after assembly.
• Drop test after replacing the safety gear
With loaded platform/car
• Drop test before commissioning (refer to Chapter 3.2)
• Drop test at recurring inspections (refer to national regulations).
At recurring inspections, we recommend to carry out the drop test with
the nominal load (refer to the max. payload) of the loaded platform.

The drop test with nominal load of the loaded platform/car must
only be carried out by competent and specialist persons!

Risk of injury
Check the safety gear for damage
After
each
drop test, the safety gear must be checked for signs of
damage.
If any damage is identified on the safety gear, it must be immediately
replaced. Operation of the machine is prohibited until then.
Repairs to the safety gear must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
• Check the overload setting.
• Function test of the motor brake.
• Check the braking distance (refer to Chapter 9.2).
3.6 Static tests
To carry out, refer to national regulations.

Move the platform up approx. 1 m, loaded centrally with 150 % of the
nominal load.

Measure the distance between each platform corner and the ground
and note the values.

After 15 minutes repeat the measurement, no permanent deformities
should occur.
