7.1 TGC Slider Controls
The “TGC slide controls” vary the gain in certain depths of the 2D image to allow an exact
compensation for the attenuation of the echoes over time (depth).
TGC slide controls to selectively adjust the gain (brightness) in depth.
Slide a slide control to the left to decrease the gain in the corresponding specific 2D depth.
Slide a slide control to the right to increase the gain in the corresponding specific 2D depth.
Double tap on the slider to return to initial position.
Remarks:
•
TGC curve is shown on the screen if selected in the System Setup.
•
The standard adjustment of the sliders is the central position because of the preset time
gain compensation for each scan head.
7.2 Scan Assistant
The Scan Assistant is a tool with guidelines for sonographers. It offers specific factory
checklists containing the anatomical structures or organs to be examined in certain
examinations and so prevents from missing important items. It is possible to customize
these checklists and also to set up new lists. Additionally the Scan Assistant can be used
to activate a specific measurement for an exam item as well as annotate, save or send the
image for documentation purposes.
Three sections are displayed:
1.
Measurements
: measurement results are displayed
2.
Fetal Anatomy (OB) / Findings (GYN)
: fetal anatomy items/findings are displayed
3.
Description
: is displayed when a measurement is required for an active item. is
displayed when the active list contains optional items. is displayed when a fetal
anatomy item (OB) / finding (GYN) is required for the active item. Also the description
text which was/can be entered in the description box in the System Setup is shown.
Furthermore reference images are displayed. Select a reference image by clicking onto
it. A double click on the reference image enlarges the image, which can be moved. The
new position of the image is stored. A click onto another reference image closes the
enlarged reference.
Activating the Scan Assistant
1.
Press the Patient button on the screen.
2.
Select a checklist from the Scan Assistant drop down list located at the bottom left side
of the Patient Information Dialog.
3.
Start the exam.
Editing the Scan Assistant
1.
Press
Home
button on the screen.
2.
Press
System Setup.
on the screen.
3.
Open the
Connectivity
page and go to the
Button Configuration
tab.
4.
Select a P-Button and check the box
Confirm Scan Assistant item with Px
.
5.
Open the
General
page and open the
Scan Assistant
tab. Edit the settings as preferred.
6.
Press
Save & Exit
