Servicing the PT878GC
Setting up the Measurement Mode
The PT878GC can take measurements in four different ways:
Skan
is a low resolution technique for locating the acoustic signal
and for high velocity measurements. It is more robust in a noisy
environment than the Measure technique.
Measure
is a more precise technique best used for low velocity
measurements. You can choose from
Skan/Measure Count
(the
default technique) or
Skan/Measure Integrate
(the traditional
Skan/Measure mode). A variation, the
Skan/Correlation
mode, is
used primarily for liquid flow measurement.
Note:
Do not change the measurement mode or values unless
recommended by GE Sensing.
From the Signal Parameter tab, press the [
X
] arrow key to move
to the Meas Mode tab. The window appears similar to Figure
9-17 below.
