Programming Site Data

Entering Pipe Lining Parameters (cont.)

Note:

If your pipe lining is not on the drop-down list, consult GE
Sensing for further information.

The program follows one of two paths:

If you have selected a preprogrammed material, the
PT878GC automatically supplies the correct sound speed,
and you proceed to step 3.

If you have selected “Other,” the meter prompts you to
enter the sound speed. Press

[ENTER]

. Use the numeric keys

to type the known sound speed in the text box, and press

[ENTER]

to confirm the choice.

The meter now asks for the lining thickness. Press

[ENTER]

Use the numeric keys to enter the known value in the text box,
and press

[ENTER]

to confirm your entry.

Pressing the [

] key returns the meter to the Lining tab.

To confirm the entries and return to Operate mode, press

[F3]

(OK).

•

To leave the window without confirming the entries, press

[F2]

(Cancel) or the

[ESC]

key.

•

To scroll to other windows, press the [

] or [

] key.
