4.3.1.1 Logs: Global Settings
This screen enables you to specify the frequency, number, and size of log files.

The table below specifies the valid values for fields of the Logs: Global Settings form.

Mode:
The available values are:
• Enabled – record events in the system log.
• Disabled – do not record events in the system log (default).
Create New Log File:
Indicates how often a new log file should be started, regardless
of the size of the current file. This parameter takes one of the
following values:
• Daily: start a new log file at the beginning of each day
(default).
• Weekly: start a new log file at the beginning of each week.
• Monthly: start a new log file at the beginning of each
month.
When logging begins, a new file is created with the name
“
YYYYMMDDHHMMSS
.log”.
Max Log Files:
Specify the maximum number of log files to be preserved at any
one time.
Default value = 14.
Valid range= 1-100
