Preparing for an Exam
System Power
Power On
To connect the system to the electrical supply:
1.
Ensure that the wall outlet is of the appropriate type.

Ensure that the power switch is turned off.
3.
Unwrap the power cable. Make sure to allow
sufficient slack in the cable so that the plug is not
pulled out of the wall if the system is moved slightly.
NOTE: Use the appropriate power cord provided by
or designated by GE Medical Systems.
4.
Attach the power plug to the system and secure it in
place by using the retaining clamp.

CAUTION:
Ensure that the retaining clamp for the power
plug is fixed firmly.
5.
Push the power plug securely into the wall outlet.
CAUTION:
Use caution to ensure that the power cable
does not disconnect during system use. If the system is
accidentally unplugged, data may be lost.
Press the
Power
switch to turn the power on. The circuit
breaker must also be in the on position.
The system should now go through its boot-up process
with no further user intervention (approximately 3
minutes)
