Site requirements
Introduction
This section outlines the site requirements for the installation, manoevering and setup
of BioProcess LPLC and MPLC columns.
Space and floor load
For space and floor load requirements, please refer to the dimensions and weight infor-
mation table Dimensions and weight, on page 94
Make sure that the floor can handle the weight of the BioProcess LPLC or MPLC
column at fully loaded conditions. Please observe that for the weight to be
equally distributed over all wheels, the floor must be level and without irregu-
larities.
Note:
In order to allow convenient working conditions for the operator, sufficient
space should be provided on all sides of the BioProcess LPLC or MPLC column
when installed at the intended production location.

Equipment requirements
When transporting and manoevering BioProcess LPLC or MPLC columns and adapters
the following equipment is recommended:

Suitable lifting equipment (pallet jack, forklift or hoist)
•
Manoevering equipment (Master Mover)
•
Blocks to protect the column during lifting and manoevering
Ambient environment
The following should be avoided:
•
Direct sunlight
•
Strong magnetic or electric fields
•
Vibrations
•
Corrosive gas
•
Dust
