The smoke sensor will detect increased levels of
X-radiation whenever a “smoke” occurs.
The sensor is located on the side of the lower
column.
The term “smoke” is used when the powder bed
becomes charged and creates a “dust cloud” in the
chamber. The smoke sensor will detect this state;
shut off the beam for a short while and then restart
the build process.
