Please note: only in the same network segment, you can use the PC to
configure the GCAN-212 (CANet) module. If the network segments are
different, you need to make the following settings on the PC.
3.1.3 Windows network settings
The operating system used by the user is Windows XP/7, 8, 10, and the user
can set the local IP and network segment by modifying the local IP address.
Windows 8 and windows 10 operation refer to Windows7 system.
Modify the local IP address
After entering the operating system, enter the control panel of the machine →
enter "Network Connections" (WinXP) or "Network and Sharing Center"
(Win7, 8, 10) → enter "Local Area Connection" properties → "Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) "(WinXP) or "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP)" (Win7)
properties.
Click Modify in the "IP Address" column, and enter the IP address of the same
network segment as GCAN-212, as shown in the figure 3.2 You can complete
the operation of adding and modifying the IP address of the PC.
If the user is in the mode of obtaining an IP address automatically, you can
select "Use the following IP address" at the operation point in Figure 3.2 and
enter the IP address of the same network segment as GCAN-212.
3.2 Connect with Ethernet
The Ethernet interface of GCAN-212 interface card conforms to the Ethernet
standard protocol specification, and the device integrates a 10/100M adaptive
Ethernet chip, which supports plug and play. Users can use standard Ethernet
cable to connect Industrial Ethernet with GCAN-212. GCAN-212 supports 3
working modes-TCP Server mode, TCP Client mode, and UDP mode. The
introduction details of these 3 working modes are as follows:
