6. Network debugging assistant
We provides users with Net Assist network debugging assistant software,
which can be used for users to test the transceiver function of GCAN-212 in
TCP Server, TCP Client, and UDP modes.
Please note: The following examples use the default parameters
6.1 Preparation before commissioning
Before debugging, please make sure that you have connected the CAN high
(CAN_H) and CAN low (CAN_L) of the GCAN-212 device to the CAN
interface of the target device.
Before debugging, please make sure that you have configured GCAN-212. If
you use a PC to connect to the GCAN-212 device, you can enter the cmd
command prompt of the computer after the GCAN-212 device is powered on
(press 'R'-enter 'cmd' and click OK) , Input the 'arp -d' command and
the 'ping 192.168.1.10' command (or other IP configured by you) in turn to
confirm that the GCAN-212 has been connected to the computer normally. The
cmd display window after normal connection is shown in the figure below.
After confirming the normal connection between GCAN-212 and the computer,
please connect the CAN interface of GCAN-212 with other CAN interface
devices. When connecting, make sure that both ends of the CAN bus have been
