Locate enclosure

Above the enclosure front view is a 

Locate

 link you can click to turn on the blue 

ID LED on the Ops panel. The LED flashes. This provides for easy identification 
of the enclosure when it’s installed in a rack or multi-enclosure environment. 
For the location of the icon, see the 

“Enclosure section” on page 19

. 

To locate the enclosure:

On the 

Main

 window, click 

Locate

. The following window appears.

Click 

GO

 to begin flashing the blue ID LED. Click 

CLOSE

 to cancel.

After the locate function has expired, a message tells you that the 
command was executed successfully. Click 

CLOSE

 to close the message.

Mixed drive types

If you have installed a mixture of drive types in a column of drive slots in the 
enclosure, the following message appears in the 

Enclosure

 area (shown in red 

text).
