In the Community Name text box, type the community name that you
want to use, then click the
Add to List
button.

Under Trap Destinations, click
Add
, then type the host name or IP address
of the computer running ManageX into the
Host name, IP or IPX address
text box.

and the address appears in the Trap destinations box.

In the right frame, in the list of services, double-click
SNMP Trap Service

From the Startup Type drop-down menu, select
Automatic

Under Service Status, click the

button. After the service has started,

to close the SNMP Trap Service Properties dialog box.

Remove the Windows 2000 operating system CD from the CD drive, then
restart the server for the changes to take effect.
To install WBEM in Windows 2000:
1 Insert the Windows 2000 Server operating system CD in the CD drive
and wait for the browser to open automatically. If it does not open
automatically, double-click
My Computer
on the desktop, then
double-click the icon for the CD drive.
2 Click
Browse This CD
.
3 Double-click the i386 folder.
4 In the i386 window, copy WBEMSNMP.EX_ , then paste the file to a local
drive.
5 Open a Command Prompt window. At the C:\ prompt, type: expand
c:\wbemsnmp.ex_ c:\wbemsnmp.exe (where c is the location of the file
that is to be expanded).
6 Press E
NTER

7 Type wbemsnmp.exe , then press E
NTER
.
8 In the WMI SNMP Provider Installation Wizard dialog box, click
Next
.
The wizard installs the files.
9 Click
Finish
