CLEANING THE STEAM WAND
WARNING – Risk of Burns:
During use
and even shortly thereafter, hot water and
steam could escape from the steam wand and
the steam wand tip will be hot. Do not hold
your hands or any delicate objects beneath
or near the steam wand with the appliance
still hot. Ensure that the steam wand always
points to the drip tray, when not in use.
Immediately after Use
Note:
After every use, thoroughly wipe the steam
wand and tip with a damp cloth and purge
immediately. Otherwise, the milk texturing
performance may be affected.
WARNING:
The automatic purge func-
tion of the steam wand will produce some
short steam blasts, when the steam wand is
lowered. This is for cleaning the openings in
the tip. Ensure not to get burned!
1. Ensure the steam lever is in the centre
OFF position.
2. Wipe the tip of the steam wand using a
soft damp cloth, taking care not to touch
the steam wand tip with your skin. There-
after, while ensuring to keep your hands
away from the steam wand tip, by the
handle move the steam wand over the drip
tray. The appliance will produce some
short steam blasts to purge remaining milk
from the holes in the steam wand tip.
Remove Obstacles from the Holes of
the Steam Wand
Note:
Even partially blocked holes may affect the
ability of the steam wand to produce suffi-
cient foam volume.
1. Ensure the steam lever is in the centre OFF
position, and switch OFF the appliance
(press POWER button). By the handle, lift
the steam wand to the upper position.
