6. Press the SELECT dial to enter the current-
ly shown parameter set. The LCD display
will show a moving cup icon and espres-
so will extract from the portafilter spouts.
7. When the required amount of coffee has
been extracted, press the SELECT dial to
stop the flow of espresso and start the
flow of hot water.
8. When the required amount of water has
poured, press the SELECT dial to stop the
flow of hot water. The LCD display will
show a cup icon and the Espresso Machi-
ne will beep to confirm that your custo-
mized Long Black settings have been pro-
grammed. The Espresso Machine returns
to standby mode.
To Use Your Custom Long Black Setting
9. Rotate the LONG BLACK dial. Your pro-
grammed custom Long Black setting will
appear after the pre-set small, medium
and large settings. See: ›Preparing a
Long Black‹.
10. Press the LONG BLACK dial and your pro-
grammed Long Black setting will dispense.

Custom Long Black settings can be re-pro-
grammed by following the above steps 1-8.
