Ask the subject/patient to
exhale smoothly into the
mouthpiece mounted on
the handheld.
During the exhalation
sample breathing air into
the syringe.
[in case of a mistrial (cough
etc.) the subject/patient
can repeat exhalation]
[Note that the breath
sample may alter with time
in the syringe]

Disconnect the syringe
from the reservoir tube.
Insert the syringe into the
Luer lock adapter.
Smoothly inject the
breathing air into the
sampling Luer port.
Towards the ending of
injection
press the
pushable rotary knob to
trigger
the selected
program.
