1. Unscrew the four screws of the back box (16) and remove them, together with the metal lugs.
2. Insert the conduit (12) with the connection cable (3) into the opening of the back box. The opening is designed for
conduit with 25 mm outer diameter. In this case, the lugs (13) at the opening will hold the conduit in place.
3. Place the back box (10) into the concrete formwork and secure it to the formwork using four nails (17) in the holes
where the screws (16) had been removed in step 1. Ensure that the back box sits flush with the formwork without
any gaps.
4. If the connection cable (3) is already run in, place the cable inside the back box.
5. After the concrete wall has hardened and the formwork removed, cut the nails on the front side (18).
6. The remaining installation procedure is the same as desc
ribed in section “a) Installation in Brickwork Walls”.
ATTENTION!
Humidity/water must never be able to penetrate into the housing. Ensure that the silicone applied (step 1 of section
“3.7.1 Surface Mounting") completely seals the housing and that the rubber seal (step 4 of “3.7.1 Surface Mounting”)
is inserted correctly and completely seals the entire length of the housing.
c) Installation in Cavity Walls (e.g. Plasterboard Walls)
1. Cut out a rectangular hole of 105.4 x 160.4 mm in the wall. The cutout must not be larger than 107 x 162 mm
because the lugs of the back box must lie on the wall (see 19).
2. Insert the conduit (12) with the connection cable (3) into the opening of the back box. The opening is designed
for a conduit with 25 mm outer diameter. In this case, the lugs (13) at the opening will hold the conduit in place.
3. Insert the back box (10) into the cutout in the wall. The four corner lugs of the back box must lie on the wall (19).
4. Turn the four mounting screws (16) to the right. This will first turn the lugs at the screws (20) by 90° to the right
and then pull them forward. Turn the screws until the lugs hit the inside of the wall, which will secure the back
box in place.
