Press the TUBE LOAD button. Use the VALVE SELECTOR control and the
COLLECT/SOV button/switch (if applicable) to remove all tubing
(Figure 6-21) from the valves (V1, SOV, Collect, V2, and V3). This allows any
extra solution in the fluid containers and tubing to drain into the waste
collection bag.

Remove and discard the cell processing set, cell product bag, and solution
containers, according to your standard operating procedures.
Note: When the
COBE 2991 is not
in use, store the
priming cushion and priming
disk in the centrifuge bowl.
Doing so prevents the
flexible diaphragm from
being accidentally damaged.

If desired, place the priming cushion and priming disk back in the centrifuge
bowl.

Replace the alignment blocks and centrifuge bowl cover.

While lifting the seal weight on its guide posts, slide the rear cover to its closed
position.

While continuing to hold the seal weight up, slide the front cover to its closed
position, lower the seal weight, and close the centrifuge cover interlock latch
(if applicable).
