Basic Service Conditions of the Start/ Stop
System
The start/stop system can function normally
only after the following conditions are met:
1. The start/stop system is turned on.
2. The driver sits on the seat and fastens the
seat belt and the door on the driver side is
closed.
3. Engine hood must be closed.
4. Engine water temperature exceeds 54°C
(after the engine operates normally for a
while).
5. The speed has exceeded 8 km/h since the
last stop.
Hint
If the speed remains below 8 km/h, the engine
will not be turned off by the Start/ Stop system.
Working Process of the Start/ Stop System of
MT Model
– When basic conditions for the start/stop
system to work are met, park the vehicle till it
is still, shift to the neutral gear and release the
clutch. Then the start/stop system will shut
down the engine automatically and the
indicator light on the instrument cluster will
go on.
– As the engine is off and the ignition switch is
on, press the clutch pedal or the brake pedal
at the neutral gear. Then the engine will
automatically start and the indicator light on
the instrument cluster will go off and the
indicator light will go on in white.
Hint
If the diver takes no action for a certain period
after the engine is started, the start/stop system will
shut down the engine again.
Under the condition that the start/stop system
shuts down the engine automatically, the following
operations can start the engine as well:
– Turning the steering wheel to a certain angle.
– Operate the ignition switch.
– Press the button .
