5.4 Driver Assistance System
5.4.1
Smart Start/Stop System
Smart Start/Stop System (Start/Stop System
for Short) After the Start/ Stop system is enabled,
the engine will automatically stop as the traveling
vehicle stops. The Ignition switch maintains on
when the engine is off, and the engine will
automatically start again as needed.
Caution
When the vehicle is stopped through the
start/stop system, the ignition switch will be kept at
the “ON” state. If you have to leave the vehicle, set
the ignition switch at the “OFF” position.
Turning on/off the Start/ Stop System
–
On: Press the button . Then the indicator
light of the button goes off, the start/stop system is
turned on and the indicator light
on the
instrument cluster goes on.
–
Off: Press the button . Then the indicator
light of the button goes on, the start/stop system is
turned off and the indicator light
on the
instrument cluster goes off.
Hint
•
The Start/Stop system has power-off memory
function, i.e. the on-off state is the same as
that before the last shutdown when the engine
is started.
•
During wading, turn off the Start/ Stop system.
•
Turn off the start/stop system when it is
necessary to open the front engine
compartment for inspection or other
operations to avoid injury.
Caution
Battery should be replaced with the one of the
specified type
. Otherwise
it will affect the normal operation of the start/
stop system.
