G.1 Overview of IPv6 Support for the Scanner
This section describes the way the scanner supports IPv6 when the system update
(ns001 01.07.01.xxxx or later) is applied to the scanner.

Software that is Updated to Support IPv6
System Software
An IPv6 function is added to the scanner (the function is disabled by default).
By enabling the IPv6 function, menu items for configuring the IPv6 function are
displayed on the administrator window. In addition, server connection via IPv6
becomes possible in regular user mode.
If the IPv6 function is disabled, the window remains the same as it usually does.
Admin Tool
Admin Tool is updated to support IPv6 and is able to connect the computer to N7100
with an IPv6 address. Connection with an IPv4 address is still possible as always.

Software that is not Updated to Support IPv6
User Editor
An IPv6 address is not supported.
Connect the computer to the scanner with an IPv4 address on the IPv4 network
environment or IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack network environment.
Central Admin Server/Central Admin Console
An IPv6 address is not supported.
Connect the computer to the scanner with an IPv4 address on an IPv4 network
environment or an IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack network environment.
