ATTENTION
Skewed barcodes may not be recognized correctly.
Using the same sheet repeatedly may decrease the recognition accuracy due to
accumulated dirt on the sheets. If the sheet is not recognized correctly or gets smudged,
replace it with a new sheet.
If recognition of control codes fails, it may cause the following results:
Control codes are recognized as numerical characters.
Not only the control codes but part of other characters are not recognized and ignored.
When control code [NUL] is included in a barcode, it is replaced with " " (space).
When documents to be scanned are skewed or printed barcodes are not in a good condition,
barcodes on the document may not be recognized correctly.
If more than one barcode exists in the recognition area, it becomes unknown which one will
be effective.
If more than one barcode exists in the recognition area, it becomes unknown that which one
will be recognized first.
Barcodes may be recognized even when the barcode is not black or its background color is
not white. To make color barcodes recognizable, you first need to configure the settings for
scanning colored documents and check that recognition works properly.
HINT
The recommended image resolution is 200 to 600 dpi.
When barcodes are used and the scan speed slows down, reducing the number of barcode
types to be selected may improve the scan speed.
