Adding a backup device

CAUTION!
Do not pull the cable chain any further once the black cable links have
reached the front edge of the housing.

When removing the device, the cable chain fastening disconnects from
the guide rail as soon as it has disconnected completely.
Ê
Loosen the two screws on each side and remove the guide rails from the
defective backup device.
Ê
Screw the two guide rails on to the new backup device using two screws on
each rail.

CAUTION!
Use the screws that are supplied with the backup device. The old
screws may be too long and therefore damage the backup device.
Ê
Before installing a new SCSI backup device:
Set the SCSI ID and set the "Termination Power" jumper to the "Off" position.
Ê
Connect the power supply cable and data cable to the backup device.

CAUTION
Make sure that the corresponding Power-LED on the front panel is
OFF when you connect the cable
