The Extreme Cache function is not available because PFMs cannot be installed in the ETERNUS DX60 S5/
DX100 S5/DX200 S5.

PFMs are installed in drive slots of the controller enclosure and the slots can be used by PFMs or drives.
PFMs cannot be installed in slots where a drive is already installed.

Policies for Estimating Extreme Cache
When installing Extreme Cache, select an Extreme Cache capacity according to the physical capacity of the read
access target drive.
Install PFMs with a capacity that is 8% of the read access target volume capacity in the ETERNUS DX.

The installation priority order for the Extreme Cache modules is shown below.

The diagram below shows an Extreme Cache module installation.
Install the Extreme Cache modules to the controller enclosure in the following order according to the priority:
SLOT23, SLOT22, SLOT21, SLOT20, SLOT19, SLOT18, SLOT17, and SLOT16.
When following the standard installation rules, install the PFMs equally among the controller enclosures of the
ETERNUS DX.
