Using the side burner
To light the lateral cooktop, proceed exactly as with the stainless-steel burners in
the cooking chamber.
CAUTION: Always open the side burner's lid before lighting.
1. Keep the switch for the lateral cooktop pressed and move it counterclockwise
until gas is flowing.
2. Count to 5.
3. Move the switch to “HI” until you hear the clicking noise of the Piezo ignition.
4. Release the switch.
Lighting the side burner when the Piezo ignition is defective.
1. Keep the switch for the side burner pressed and move it counterclockwise to
“HI”.
2. Light the side burner manually with a stick lighter.
Using the infrared ceramic burner
The burner heats up a ceramic brick perforated with little holes. The ceramic brick
stores the energy, making particularly high temperatures possible.
This way, you can easily make your steaks and burger patties super crisp without
affecting the core temperature.
1. Press the switch and turn it counterclockwise until you can hear the gas flowing
in.
2. Count to 5 and light the burner by turning the switch until you hear the clicking
noise of the Piezo ignition.
3. If the burner does not ignite, proceed exactly as with the stainless-steel burn-
ers.
The ceramic burner is continuously variable, just like a standard stainless-steel
burner.
